Found the Cupboard

We finally found just the right cupboard to finish off the furniture in the kitchen. It is a dry sink and I love the drawer. It's is not old but fits in perfectly with what we already have. We found it at a flea market in Perth

and I also found this tea pot.
Today I made a new door decoration. Isn't this bird cute!

Shirt Pillow

This is what I did last night while watching TV. It is made from a shirt my husband bought on our trip to see our daughter while her husband was on loan to the US air force in Alaska. That was about 15 years ago. The collar was frayed but the fabric still had some life in it.  I never have any luck with a sewing machine so do everything by hand.

Crib Couch

I left home yesterday at 8:30 am for work and got home today at noon! After work we went to see Gordon Lightfoot at the Casino and stayed overnight. It was a nice break and a great show.

Above are photos of the old crib I use on our covered porch. The quilt I used on the seat is a very old worn quilt I picked up. The pillows and the Cat Lap Quilt were all made by me.

You can see what we did with the missing side of the crib on my March 27 post Blue Jars and Crib

Box project

Today I tackled the pink box. I had tea & coffee stained pages from an old travel book beforehand. I poged the box added lace and buttons and Voila!
