Crib Couch

I left home yesterday at 8:30 am for work and got home today at noon! After work we went to see Gordon Lightfoot at the Casino and stayed overnight. It was a nice break and a great show.

Above are photos of the old crib I use on our covered porch. The quilt I used on the seat is a very old worn quilt I picked up. The pillows and the Cat Lap Quilt were all made by me.

Cottage Love

I bought this country cottage set just after I was married 47 years ago and I still love it.

Shopping

Today I had a Dr.'s appointment so we had to go to "Town". (Our village has a pop. of 1300). So of course we had to go shopping. Here are my finds:

 

A painted zinc bucket .99 and a metal candle or plant stand 3.99 from Value Village

Three cute birds from Dollarama which I found out later all sing! (don't tell the grandchildren)

 

I spent $11.00 on bird houses and Easter eggs from Michaels and a necklace for my daughter-in-law Tammy (I have her stocking next Christmas)

I am a Church secretary so had to have the Church birdhouses

 

The best part: We had dinner at Red Lobster!

Found

I cleaned out the top drawer of the buffet today. You know the one. It is where you put things that have no home. I found these neat trays in their original box. I had forgotten all about them. They are very pretty and there are three of them. I wonder what ever happened to the fourth?

Company

We had our son Christopher and his 3 boys Philip, and twins Alexandre and Patrick visit us this weekend and on Sunday we went to our granddaughter Taylor's hockey game. Her team came 4th in the Ontario Provincials. 

Boys Room

When our family visits there are 19 of us. DH & I,  3 children and their spouses and 11 grandchildren 4 girls and 7 boys. To accommodate all the boys we had set up a bedroom with 3 bunk beds. This is the wall treatment I did in this room I used maps and travel brochures. The grandkids are growing up and the families are bringing their campers so we don't need as many beds so we got rid of one bunk bed set this weekend. It is still the boys room and the youngest are 12 (the twins) so we hopefully will get a few more years out of this room.
